According to the list of University Grand Commission, there are currently 53 public universities in Bangladesh. There are also private universities in Bangladesh. The list of private universities is also quite large. Bangladesh is a middle income country so most of the students are interested in studying in government public universities. Cost in private universities is quite expensive so children of a little higher class families study in private universities.However, Dhaka University has been known as a traditional university since ancient times. In terms of admission of students, Dhaka University is first in everyone’s list of choices followed by universities located in other divisional cities.
